It has been decided to impose curfew in the districts of Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara from 9 am to 6 am on Saturday on the lines of Ahmedabad in view of the cases of fast growing infection in the state.
He said that only shops connected with essential services will be opened during the curfew period.
Ahmedabad will have a 57-hour weekend curfew
Deputy Chief Minister Patel said that it was decided to impose curfew in the capital Ahmedabad from 9 am to 6 am earlier, but to control the increasing cases, the capital will now have a full curfew of 57 hours from 9 am to 6 am every Friday night. .
He said that the revised orders have been issued on behalf of Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Gupta. During this period only milk and drug shops will be open.
Ahmedabad has the highest number of infected
According to the Health Department, Ahmedabad has the highest number of 46,268. Of these, 1,953 have died. Similarly, so far 216 patients have died in Surat out of 40,629 infected and 18,208 in Vadodara.
School-colleges will not open in Gujarat from November 23
