In India, 22,065 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported and 354 patients died due to this. These are the fewest new cases reported in a day after July.
With this, the total number of infected people in the country has reached 99,06,165. Of these, 1,43,709 people have lost their lives due to the epidemic. The number of active cases has come down to 3,39,820.
Recovery rate and testing
Recovery rate crosses 95 percent
Talking about the patients getting cured, 34,477 patients of Corona virus were cured across the country on the last day. With this, the total number of patients recovering from the epidemic has increased to 94,22,636. Recovery in the country has reached 95.12 percent.
Apart from this, 9,93,665 tests were done across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the epidemic, about 15.56 crore corona virus tests have been done in the country.
Number of infected in Tamil Nadu crosses eight lakh
Talking about the most affected states, 18,83,365 people have been found infected in Maharashtra and 48,269 people have died.
So far, 9,02,240 people have been found infected in the second most affected state of Karnataka, while 11,954 people have died.
Andhra Pradesh with 8,75,836 cases and 7,059 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 8,00,029 cases and 11,909 deaths are the next two most affected states.
Lowest new cases in Karnataka in last six months
Talking about new cases, 2,949 people were found infected in Maharashtra on the previous day, while 60 patients died. The situation in the state remains under control and cases are continuously decreasing here.
Similarly, 830 people have been found infected in the last 24 hours in Karnataka, the lowest number of cases reported in a single day in the last six months.
There were 1,141 new cases in Tamil Nadu and 305 in Andhra Pradesh.
1,376 new cases in Delhi in the past
In the country’s capital Delhi, 1,376 new cases were reported on the previous day and 60 patients died. With this, the total number of infected people in the city has increased to 6,08,830, while 10,074 patients have died. The test positivity rate was 2.15 percent.
So far 7.28 crore infected worldwide
According to Johns Hopkins University, around 7.28 million people have been infected with the corona virus so far, while 16.20 lakh have died.
In the most affected US 16.5 million people have been infected, while three lakh have died. More than two lakh new cases are coming here every day for the past several days.
In Brazil, at number three, 1.82 lakh patients out of 69.27 lakh infected have died.
