Dish TV to discontinue d2h brand?

With the ongoing bitterness between Videocon and Essel Group, and acceptance by Essel Group Chairman Subhash Chandra that the merger between Videocon d2h and Dish TV was “a mistake”.

He has also accepted that merger has caused them a huge loss and close sources has hinted for complete closure of d2h brand and related services.

Earlier Essel Group has detached the Videocon from the d2h brand and continued with the new brand Dishd2h.

Internal restructuring is going on to layoff all the employees associate with the Videocon d2h.

Many subscribers have reported decline in services as they were unable to reach their Call Centers and website.

With the new Tariff Order, operators revenue has been further reduced as packaging will now be taken care by the broadcasters. Hence, carrying a debt ridden merged company is making trouble for the Essel Group.
