Gangster Munna Bajrangi was allegedly shot dead by another convict, Sunil Rathi, stopped in the correctional facility.
This goes ahead multi day when Munna Bajrangi was slated to be delivered under the watchful eye of a court in Baghpat. On Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh hoodlum, blamed in the murder for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pioneer Krishnanand Rai, was exchanged from Jhansi to Baghpat.
Responding to the occurrence, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath requested legal request and suspension of the jailor. He stated, “Such an occurrence happening inside prison premises is a genuine issue. We will direct a top to bottom examination and strict move will be made against those dependable.”
Munna Bajrangi’s legal advisor V Srivastava affirmed that the hoodlum was shot dead by a convict held up in the prison who concealed the gun in a drain subsequent to carrying out the wrongdoing. “He was conveyed to District Jail Baghpat from Jhansi last (Sunday) night. At 6.30 am today, a convict held up in the correctional facility shot him dead and concealed the gun in a drain. Scarcely any days prior, we had made UP CM mindful of danger to his life,” he said.
As per Additional Director General – Prison, the convict who shot at Bajrangi is Sunil Rathi. He discharged the slug following a fight with the hoodlum.
“There was squabble between Sunil Rathi and him after which he shot him dead. He has been confined and is being cross examined. Jailor, delegate jailor, superintendent and head superintendent have been suspended. Have asked for legal and authoritative request,” he said.
