These things will be required
1) One bowl Idli batter
2) two boiled potatoes
3) quarter cup green peas
4) Two tablespoons coriander (finely chopped)
5) two tablespoons refined oil
6) One or two green chillies
7) ½ inch piece of ginger
8) 8-10 curry leaves
9) One fourth teaspoon turmeric powder
10) One teaspoon Coriander Powder
11) Salt (as per taste)
12) Half teaspoon mustard
13) One fourth teaspoon red chilli powder
14) One fourth teaspoon garam masala
Start by making stuffing
First peel boiled potatoes and grate them, then heat a little refined oil in a pan. After this, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chillies and fry them a little.
Then after frying the peas slightly in the pan, add boiled potatoes to it. Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, mango powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder and salt and cook a little.
Then take out this mixture in a bowl.
Prepare for second step like this
Now put two cups of water in the cooker or any big vessel and heat it. Then in the meantime, apply oil on the idli molds and make them smooth.
After this, add salt by adding salt to the idli batter. On the other hand, take out a little mixture from the prepared stuffing and make small balls.
Now put a little bit of idli batter in the molds and keep the stuffing pressed and then lightly cover the stuffing with a spoon on top of the stuffing.
How to finalize stuffed masala idli
Now arrange the molds in idli stand and when the water comes to boil keep the idli stand inside the cooker and cover the cooker. Then let the idli cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes.
Idli will be ready after about 12 minutes. After this, turn off the gas and take out the idli stand from the cooker and separate the idli molds.
Now take out all the prepared idlis in a plate and serve with any sauce.
