Former Congress mayor R Sampat Raj arrested in Bangalore violence case

Former Congress mayor R Sampat Raj, wanted in a case of violence in the Karnataka capital Bengaluru, has been arrested by the police. Four persons were killed in the violence. Police sources gave this information on Monday.

 

Sampat Raj Deora is a Congress councilor from Jeevanhalli municipal ward and has been arrested from Bangalore. Sampat Raj escaped from a private hospital where he was admitted for treatment of Kovid-19.

Let me tell you that on August 11, violence erupted in the city over an alleged inflammatory post on a Facebook by a relative of Congress MLA R Akhand Srinivas Murthy.
