Former Indian fast bowler Munaf Patel Lanka Premier League (LPL) has joined the Candy Tuskers team.
Munaf is the second big Indian player to participate in this league, before him Irfan Pathan has also joined the Candy Tuskers in LPL and he is still in Sri Lanka.
In the candy tuskers, Munaf has replaced Pakistani fast bowler Wahab Riaz.

Munaf has been added to the team in place of Wahab Riyaz
LPL is owned by Bollywood actor and producer Sohail Khan in the Candy Tuskers franchise. The team already includes star players like “Universe Boss” Chris Gayle. Among other Indian players, Irfan Pathan, Manvinder Bisla and Manpreet Singh Goni are part of this team.
According to reports, in Candy Tuskers, Wahab Riaz and Liam Plunkett have been replaced by Munaf Patel and Sohail Tanvir.
This is how Munaf’s international career
Indian fast bowler Munaf Patel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2018.
The 37-year-old Munaf has played 13 Tests, 70 ODIs and three T20s for India, taking 35, 86 and four wickets respectively.
Munaf has been part of India’s World Cup winning team (2011). Apart from this, he has also taken more than 100 wickets in T20 format.
Munaf has also won the IPL title
Munaf was a member of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) team that won the IPL title in 2008. He then also represented Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Lions (GL) in the IPL. He finished his IPL career with 74 wickets.
Lanka Premier League schedule
The Lanka Premier League will be played from 26 November to 16 December, with all matches to be held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium (MRICS) in Hambantota.
The league will feature five teams named Colombo, Candy, Gaul, Dambulla and Jaffna, who will compete in 23 matches for the title.
