Now many technical courses including engineering in the country will also be taught in regional languages.
In the next academic session 2021-22, students will get a chance to read technical courses in their regional language.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal A high review meeting was held under the chairmanship of which this important and major decision has been taken. This decision will see a big change in the field of education.
Apart from this, many important decisions were also taken in the meeting.
Some IITs and NITs were listed
For this, the Ministry of Education has also listed some of the top engineering colleges in the country, Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and National Institute of Technology (NITs), which will offer engineering courses in regional languages.
Not only this, it has also been decided in this meeting that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEETNational Examination Agency ()NTA) Will also prepare the syllabus for competitive examinations.
IIT BHU will start in Hindi
The official also told that Hindi base is strong in IIT BHU, hence it is being started from here. In the coming years, other institutions will also be selected after meeting with IITs, NITs and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) officials.
Many institutions expressed concern
Some institutions have also expressed concern over this decision.
He says that preparing study material in regional languages and getting good teachers can prove to be a big challenge. Also, classes will have to be divided into several parts according to languages.
Apart from this, providing books in different regional languages is also a big problem.
Students will benefit from this decision, but it can also become a problem for institutions.
This instruction given to UGC
Along with this, the University Grants Commission (UGC) was also instructed in this important meeting that the scholarship be given to the students on time and a helpline should also be started soon for their convenience.
Through this, they will be able to get information about the problems related to scholarship and their problems will also be solved immediately.
This decision has been taken so that students do not face any problem in getting scholarship.
JEE Main will also be organized in regional languages
For your information, let me tell you that this is not the first time that regional languages are being given importance.
Earlier last month, Ramesh Pokhriyal had tweeted that under the new Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Joint Entrance Board (JAB) has decided to organize JEE Main in regional languages other than Hindi, English and Gujarati.
However, this decision will be implemented after the decisions of IITs and NITs.
