Police in Sector 58 of Uttar Pradesh’s Noida have asked organizations in the mechanical center point to guarantee their workers don’t utilize a recreation center for any religious action, including offering namaz on Fridays.
In a notice, police have said organizations in Sector 58 will be considered dependable if their representatives are found abusing the request.
“The organization has not given any consent to hold any sort of religious movement, wherein offering Friday petitions, in the recreation center in Sector 58. It has been frequently seen that a portion of your Muslim workers assemble in the recreation center in Sector 58 to offer namaz on Fridays,” Pankaj Rai, the accountable for Sector 58 police headquarters, said in the notice.
“They have been asked freely by me not to do as such and who have not been given any authorization by the city officer on their prior application,” Rai said.
It would be ideal if you ask all your Muslim workers not to offer namaz in the recreation center. In the event that regardless they go to the recreation center to offer supplications, your organization will be considered in charge of the infringement.”
Reports said the organizations have looked for a gathering with senior cops for elucidation on the notice and furthermore intended to approach the court against the request.
Noida’s senior director of police Ajay Pal Sharma has safeguarded the move and said the notice “was not explicit to a specific religion”.
