Bangladesh Police arrested the person who threatened
Angry over Shakib’s participation in the Kali Puja program, a young man had threatened to kill Shakib by posting a video on Facebook.
The young man was identified as Mohsin Talukdar, a resident of Sylhet and the Bangladeshi police have arrested him.
Shakib was spotted at the Kali Puja pandal in Kakurgachhi area of Kolkata on 12 November and since then he has been the target of the people.

Shakib has now clarified by posting a video that he did not initiate the puja but took part in the event that followed.
He said, “As a proud Muslim, I apologize to all of you if I have acted to hurt your feelings.”
Shakib said that the program was started by West Bengal Minister Firhad Hakim.

Shakib further stated in his video that he did not want to degrade his religion nor was there any discussion about religion on the event.
He said, “I believe Islam is a religion of peace. I always try to follow the things of Islam. I do not want us to do anything that can divide our society. While we are together Till we are strong. ”
Shakib’s ban is over
