Former indian batsman Suresh Raina Turned 34 years old on Friday (27 November). Left-handed batsman Raina has played many important innings for India in the middle order. Apart from being a good batsman, he has also been a world class fielder.

International career has been like this
Suresh Raina played a key role in the middle order in the Indian team. In an international career spanning almost 12 years, he scored 5,615 runs in 226 ODIs at an average of 35.31.
Apart from this, Raina also played 18 Tests and 78 T20s, scoring 768 and 1,605 runs respectively.
Suresh Raina has also been a member of the World Cup winning team from India.
Had scored a century in test debut
Suresh Raina made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2010 and scored a century in the first match itself. He became the 12th Indian cricketer to score a century in a debut match.
In that match, Raina scored 120 off 220 balls and shared a 256-run partnership with Sachin Tendulkar in India’s first innings. Interestingly, this was his only century in his 18-match Test career.

Raina became only the third cricketer to score a century in all three formats and the first Indian. His first ODI century was against Hong Kong in 2008 and in T20 he scored the only century against South Africa (2010).

Left-handed batsman Raina became the first Indian player to score a century in T20. He is still the only Indian to score a century in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Five years later, Raina hit a century against Zimbabwe in the 50-over World Cup. With this, he still remains the only Indian to score a century in both T20 and ODI World Cups.

Suresh Raina has been a successful batsman in T20 cricket. So far, he has scored 8,392 runs in 319 matches at an average of 32.65. Raina was also the first Indian player to score 6,000 and 8,000 runs in T20 cricket.
Raina’s performance in IPL
Suresh Raina has been the axis of batting for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He is currently the second highest run-scorer in the league, scoring 5,368 runs in 193 matches at an average of 33.34.
Raina became the first cricketer to reach the 5,000-run mark in the IPL. Apart from this, he was also the first 100 sixes in the league. He is the highest run-scorer from CSK’s team.
